"With Christmas now firmly on the horizon it’s time to start thinking about sprucing up your home ready for the holiday season."
So starts the email from Lakeland. It offers me all sorts of cleaning products that I need if I am to be properly prepared for Christmas.
Ha ha ha ha, ha ha ha ha, ha ha ha ha ha.

... sprucing... fir-ing... or pining up... whatever evergreen takes ya fancy!!
Yesterday, I noticed big red bows on the light posts in the parking lot near my place! I thought to myself, "Agh! It isn't even Halloween yet!" *sigh*
Mmm! I just deleted it without reading... did I miss something?
What will they think of next to sell stuff - I'm laughing with you!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
By the time husband I finish all our doctor appointments it will be Easter.
Suppose they have to think of something.
I only spruce up my home for visitors, not for the holiday season whatever and whenever that is. And my kitchen is littered with surplus cleaning products as it is, I don't need more.
I'm going green with my cleaning stuff...it's kinder to both me and the septic tank! As for Christmas...oh yes, I vaguely recall something being said about that...
I hope I'm not so fed up with Christmas by the time it's here like I was last year. I LOVE the biblical reasons for it...I DETEST the way the world has commercialized it. As to what Leslie said, I'm seeing things popping up already here in Portland, too. How dispiriting. Anyway, catching up here, too, Liz...just can't seem to get in the go gear and find time for visiting very consistently any where lately...just busy, busy, busy. I'm glad you've got the Granny Ticker up...can't wait to see pictures posted of the grandbaby!!!!
I've been bombarded with Lakeland silly suggestions and received two identical catalogues so I get their expensive offers in stereo as a minimum.
I spruce up my home most days so Lakeland are obviously running out of ideas to keep reminding us about.
I think my house needs some "sprucing up" long before Christmas. If it wasn't for Sophie, my vacuumn would just stay in the closet:)
Christmas decorations have been out in many of our stores for several weeks now; maybe they should just leave them out all year--certainly would save some time!
I always laugh at the "Essential Christmas Fayre / Gift lists in the Marks & Spencer catalogue. If everything in it was THAT essential I'd be bankrupt well before Christmas. As it is, I have a decent enough Christmas without all of their "essentials", and rarely go bankrupt until at least mid January.

Wait! I thought you still had last year's Christmas decor working for you? Don't tell me you cleared it out, just to have to "spruce" up yet again? ;-)
Haha! I got one of those, too. Even the cleaning lady laughed!
