Although really this is hot not warm.
One evening, when we staying just outside Jasper National Park, we went to Miette Hot Springs. For over a century people have travelled there to enjoy the hot spring water - the hottest in the Rockies, coming out of the ground at 54 degrees before being cooled to a bearable 40 degrees.There were two hot pools and two small cold dipping pools. We were quite happy sitting in the hot water under the stars in the crisp night air when we started chatting to a German. 'You should go in the cold pool.'
We'd heard the screams. 'I don't think so.'
'No, really, you should. It is very good for your health. I go every week I am here and I am never ill.'
So we were talked into it - and it was flipping freezing!
It was literally a quick dip in and out and then straight back into the hot pool, feeling very righteous. And even more so the next morning, talking to fellow guests over breakfast who hadn't dared the cold pool. 'Oh, didn't you? We did. It's very good for you, you know.'

Ooooo, that looks so relaxing. I think my dip in the cold pool would be rather quick too, but at least you would appreciate the hot even more. Sigh

Aaaaah .. I could do with a dip in a hot pool right about now! Did you find if you stayed in too long you felt a bit unwell? That happened to me in NZ.

Teeheehee re your comments about going into the cold pool. Reminds me of the time I spent in a spa with my sister and her significant other doing a circuit of hot pool, sauna, cold pool and repeat again (several times) -- bliss! :)
Oh that looks like a great hangout. I miss our swimming pool hope one day it will operate again.
I have always wanted to visit a hot spring somewhere sometime. it just looks like it would be such a wonderful experience.

Sounds like spas in ski resorts. Usually there is alchol involved to dull the cold.
I'D HEAD there daily if there's hot springs here in spore.

I like your story, getting hoodwinked into trying the cold pool, what an experience. I wish a cold pool is available here in our country, we only have hot springs here in PH :(
It would be neat to go into a hot spring. I'm not so sure I'd want to try to the cold spring though... ;o) Nice entry!
