At Abigail's in Victoria, they offered a gourmet 3-course breakfast.
After a choice of croissant or cinnamon and raisin swirl, followed by fruit salad, we had to choose from homemade granola (the healthy option) or vegetable egg tower with tomatoes jam, provolone cheese, lamb and rosemary sausage and pesto potatoes or banana and raspberry crepe with whipped cream.
Husband chose the vegetable egg tower with everything.
I had the crepe. At Monroe's Diner in Clearwater Valley, Husband and Son-in-law had the Canadian breakfast.Daughter had the pumpkin pie.
I had the waffles, strawberries and cream. (Can you spot a theme running through my breakfasts?)

OOOOOOooo, Liz, you know just how to get this girl! Thanks for those yummy pix.
Now you are making me feel hungry and I have only just finished dinner!
I don't normally eat breakfast but i could make an exception :0)

I'm with you Liz, I love fruit for breakfast...especially with crepes, cream and whatever else is going.
just yummmmy...!!! lovely presentation and well photographed!
most impressed - you wouldn't have needed anything else until the early evening!
Gosh, this is interesting to see a "foreigner's" impression of what is Canadian food. Some of us have been discussing this lately - what exactly IS Canadian food? I think I'd love everything you had, but couldn't ever have that much every day! Did you gain any weight? lol
Uh .... you like to eat desserts for breakfast! LOL!
I'd have gone for the bacon and the sausages and then I'd have asked them if they had any of those crispy fried potatoes to go with them!
Yes, fruit is always a healthy option - isn't it? I adore raspberries!
Well done, morning glory! Quite right.
My pleasure, deb acle.
I ate a box of choc fingers last night, cherrypie ...
You should eat breakfast, hippy mama, it sets you up for the day!

THank you, magiceye.
Except maybe a choc hip cookie or a muffin, kiwi! (Typing mistake there but I think it's quite apt!)
