Saturday Photohunt - Art

Now this is my ideal career. And I have the training for it with a lifetime of creating everything from sand racing cars to mermaids. It's what I will do when we retire maybe.

This artist was in Fuerteventura where we also encountered an accordion player, an elderly lady who moved from sea-front cafe to cafe, playing for an hour here and an hour there, before passing round the hat. Maybe Husband could do that while I am sand-sculpting. If he could play the accordion. Or any instrument.

An invitation from Mimi…….To: Saturday Photo Hunters
Many bloggers will be flying Peace Globes in the blogosphere on Wednesday, June 6, 2007. It is BlogBlast for Peace day - the second annual event. Please consider using your blog voice and creative influence on this day to participate. The theme for June 2 is ART - perfect for creativity with a peace globe perhaps? You can find more information about the movement at Mimi Writes or BlogBlast for Peace. I wanted to make you aware of the event. I really enjoy looking at your photographs on Saturdays.

There is sand sculpting competition at Scheveningen beach this month. Seeing this photo reminded me that I really want to take the kids out to see it all.

Sounds like a good job to me too....

I can barely make a decent sand castle. This took some patience and skill!

Very cool! We were in the Canary Islands a few years ago, but on Lanzarote - it's like being on the moon, in the middle of the ocean ;)

That's a great sculpture. I'm fascinated with sand sculptures. I think they are very creative and involves lots of hard work and patience. I posted about a lovely sand sculpture too. Hope you can come by and visit. Take care!

Very creative indeed! I could never even make a reasonable sandcastle never mind anything fancier!

Sigh, and I can't play the accordion either!

I love this art, used to see it a lot back home.

Then again I'm not likely to see it around here what with the lack of sand in the city.

What an ideal career that would be! Fun in the sun. Sand sculpture, it looks really challenging.

Wouldn't that be a fun life? To entertain visitors with sand sculptures and drink margaritas at sunset?

Have a great weekend!

Maybe you could have a sand-sculpting table on wheels and you could rove the streets together as your accordion notes perfumed the evening air.

Where do I apply for a job like this?!

Mine's up too ...

That's lovely. I haven't really seen a lot of sand sculpting. I lived near the ocean growing up, but the beaches near home were rocky and/or muddy.
