Pretty in pink

My head is so full of thoughts that are bursting to come out on my substack page. I imagine I can schedule them to appear a day at a time rather than flood one day with posts.

I've had a look at my phone to see if I can voice record but don't know what I'm looking for so am consulting the experts i.e. my children.

I didn't have to walk Louie this morning so I was forced to something else instead: cleaned our bedroom. That's enough housework for one day - two months actually, probably since I last did any. So I have time now to write. Or procrastinate. My regular cleaner comes back on 20th October and because we were on holiday I hadn't booked my in-between cleaner for when we came back and when I tried she was already fully booked. Still, how dirty can a house get in five weeks?

I am infuriated with my inability to type 'th' in the right order.

Husband answered my dictaphone query and I've learned that I have a voice recorder already on my phone. Gosh, my voice sounds so peculiar!

And now I've lost it again. Next question: how do I put the little symbol thing on my front page? Ah, resolved.

My two latest stone memory pictures.

The stones from Lake Garda were, I think, imported rather than natural but they were pretty and there so they still count.

i thought a substack was two sandwiches, sandwiched together.... and don't worry on the typing front.... my fingers always get in front of my brain as well, and despite being an "ok" typist and pretty decent at spelling, when i look back at the garbage that poured out of my fingers in random orders..... i often feel like calling it a day..... for some reason i have a habit of missing the "s" and "a" keys, which makes an awful mess...... or should i say....mke n wful me

Is that true about substacks? if so, I didn't know that! our brains are just too quick for our fingers.

It's surprising how dirty a house can get if people insist on living and cooking in it. But you're not throwing elegant parties, so that's okay.

Precisely.

I cna't can't type can't or lve love these days. It's most annoying. If we ever decide to have a cleaner we'll need to steam-blast everything before I'll be able to let a stranger through the door. We odn't don't have a cleaner because we can 'do it ourselves' only half the time we don't - more interesting things to do.

I'm glad you got the voice recorder figured out because I wouldn't be able to help you. I was sure you had it, but I didn't know how to access it. You need to borrow a six year old from someone. When I first needed to learn to use a computer, my daughter was 6. She was very sweet about teaching me. My house is filled with tumbleweeds of Princess fur and I don't mind at all.

Love,
Janie

I am the world’s worst typist, more than just a th sorta thing. That is why I sometimes dictate comments but not often because it sounds weird. And someone is still in bed this mornig. (By the way moring is my worst word. I didn’t try t type it wrong. It just happens, and spellcheck never corrects it)

It's strange that it's some words that catch us.

It took years for all George hair to be gotten rid of. Even now if I looked carefully . . .

Some mis-spelled words can be entertaining though. Or even better spell-checked alternatives!
