Those fun guys

Daughter was feeling unwell so I walked Louie today, and spotted these fun guys on my path. I have no idea what they are or even if they're all the same sort at different stages of life.

I have written a new post on my substack but not the one I was planning to as I got distracted this morning, wondering what my purpose in life was, and going down the 'if my value does not depend on what I do then what does it depend on?' route. And getting very confused along the way.

Zac's tonight. Stu is leading and we're having communion in the form of bread and soup. And banana and chocolate chip cake. I've also booked Zac's in to have a stall at a Christmas charity event for the homeless. Hard to believe it's October tomorrow.

My head is so full I kept saying to myself, when I was walking, I really need a dictaphone. Can I use my phone for that? To record me speaking notes to myself? Probably. I shall have to check.

Lots of strange fungi in our garden too. Not many fungi are poisonous but I'm not going to risk eating any of them!

This is the time of year for all kinds of mystery fungi to appear. But I only eat the ones grown for my shopping site.

Try using Google Lens to identify funghi (or anything else), I find it helpful.
Success rate identifying flowers on above 85%

I am sure you can use your phone for that. After all, I am dictating this comment right now. On my iPad actually.

That's a lot of fungi

I would have difficulty writing on that topic, too. If chocolate chip cookies or cake were used in place of typical communion wafers, I think a lot of people would show up for communion.

Love,
Janie

Making notes as you walk would be a good way to order your thoughts and record them.

Too dangerous!

Absolutely. So many look alike.

I'll investigate that. Thanks, stu.

So it seems!

A good day for it.

Maybe we should make it common practice, Janie.

I have used a dictaphone in the past - and been horrified at my panting!

Husband suggested parasol too. Said I should have brought it home to eat but no thank you.
