May contain triggers

The doctor thinks I may have trigger finger. I knew my past would catch up with me eventually.

She recommends removing my wedding ring. Now that is easier said than done.

I began by wrapping my finger in a part-frozen bag of water and holding it above my head for five minutes.

Then I soaped my finger and threaded some ribbon under my ring, before wrapping the other end around my finger. Then you are supposed to unwind the ribbon from the bottom end, taking your ring with it.
That was the theory anyway.

Looks like I'll have to visit a jeweller and get it cut off. (Ring not finger.) And that will be traumatic as it's not been off my finger since 1978. Options then will be to have it made bigger or get a new one.

Husband wanted to challenge himself today with a bit more of a hill walk. So we headed down to the sea front, along the beach, and back up through the woods. He managed well. Next time I'm going to wear my heart monitor too so we can compare heart rates! Mine is usually quite high while his is normally low.

Is there a rush to remove your ring? Your current attention to weight loss might do the trick without cutting it off. The ring, I mean.

I don't know what "trigger finger" is, but it sounds deadly. I'll show myself out.

Rings bother me, and I long ago gave up wearing them. Having one stuck on like that would drive me crazy.

I wouldn't be able to remove my wedding ring without a huge effort. I hope you don't have to resort to having it cut off.

Moved my wedding ring to my little finger years ago when it got a bit tight, now I have my late Mums on my third finger.

Trigger finger? Seems an oxymoron for a wedding ring finger... or not

Good luck with the ring. Hope there is an easy solution other than cutting it off.

I've known a couple of people who had trigger finger. It sounds like an annoying issue.

Hi! I'd never heard of trigger finger before so I asked Mrs. Google about it. She gave me this Web site. I hope something will help so you don't have to cut off your ring. https://www.verywellhealth.com/trigger-finger-self-care-8693747

Trigger finger sounds painful. I had to look it up to see exactly what it was.
