You know what's coming now, don't you?

I was three-quarters of the way through my first bit of front lawn when it struck me the mower was blowing out a lot of grass.

"Perhaps the box is full," thinks I. I open the lid and am surprised to find it empty. And I can see the blade. "That's not usual," thinks I again.

Yes, I'd forgotten to replace the box so had been blowing cut grass all over the place.

This is what happens when I boast.

At least I should sleep well tonight.

Oh…maybe not!

Back when I cut grass I rarely bagged the trimmings. It was easier (and better for the environment) to let them fall back onto the yard.

Oh, well. These things happen. I clogged the lawnmower the last time I used it and have been desperately trying to unclog it since but she still refuses to start. I am disconsolate. I also knocked the bag that collects the trimmings off the large tool box. The bag has a hard edge, which hit my right arm and hand and left me with huge bruises. I'm a mess, as usual.

Love,
Janie

I am cutting again today and will make sure I'm concentrating.
