There's a rather wonderful little programme on Radio 4Extra at the moment. It's called Attention All Shipping: A Journey Around the Shipping Forecast, in which the narrator visits all the places so very familiar to those of us who grew up with the Home Service on the radio.
In yesterday's episode he was in Cromarty where he told the story of some of the more bonkers members of the Urquhart family. One, apparently, lived for a number of years believing he was dead, and every evening his bed was winched up to the battlements so that it would be easier for his maker to come and spirit him away during the night.
Having once woken up and thought I was dead I can sympathise.

GrandDaughter2 had an inset day today so she spent some time with me, making magic potions - successfully - and trying to make squishy bubbles using nano tape - unsuccessfully.

Squishy bubbles LOOK simple enough, but these things always do!
The first time I heard of an 'Inset Day' I seriously thought I heard - insect! Both my sons partners are teachers and we now call them insect days - which I much prefer chuckle
Inset?? Maybe like in service day? useless training but kids get the day off.
You do some cool things with grandchildren. I suspect they're a cover for doing stuff you like but need a child around..
magic potions and squishy bubbles sounds like my kind of day
