Hair appointment today. Is there anything worse? (Yes, of course I know there are loads of much worse things.)
Sitting under bright lights, in front of a mirror, conscious of your jowls, lines, and baggy eyes, while tensing as you wait for the forced conversation. Still, all worth it in the end, or will be when my hair settles down and I begin to be happy with it.

I hated the hairdressers so much I quit after yet another fail -- they blame curly hair, say they're not trained for it -- many years ago. I cut it myself and it's no worse than the cuts I paid money for. My late husband said there was a lot less crying, too!
I like the new cut! My hairdresser does a great job…usually!
I definitely like the shorter look.
Did I forget to say I love the new style? How rude of me. Anyway, I do.
