Finding poetry

Daughter and GrandDaughter2 had some fun this morning making poetry out of the New Scientist magazine.

Pretty pink birds

These glorious flamingos 
Aren't always
Animals
They settle in shallow water. During such journeys they 
Take
Off 
Each
Of them creates shapes.

That looks like fun. I think you can do it with all kinds of prose, with a touch of invention.
