Knew there was something else

Glove strings. You know the sort of thing you thread through your sleeves and the back of your coat to stop you losing your gloves. I've nearly lost my new gloves at least twice. What with picking up poo, tying shoelaces, blowing my nose etc etc.

So I came back from my walk determined to search online for glove strings. Loads are available but all for children. Some are very peculiar, only a few inches in length, I think intended to be attached to your coat cuffs. And most have hooks on the end rather than clips so you need gloves with a matching loop for the hook to attach to.

I wonder. I could sew buttons on my gloves and then plait some thick wool to make a string and put a loop on the end to go around the button.

And we all know that's never going to happen.

We come full circle as we age! Everything old is new again!

One of the best things about my heavy winter coat is large pockets to hold gloves and the silk scarf I tie around my neck to keep the wind out.

I seem to recall mitten strings being attached to the mittens by safety pins.

Use the belt off a bathrobe, pin it to the gloves. So elegant!

That would be a very useful item to have.

Sue was just saying that I need something like this when I take my gloves on and off to take pictures in the frigid weather. I keep missing my pockets and dropping them.
