Go fish!

A quick trip to the hospital this morning as Husband's ear is still inflamed and keeping him awake at night. Prescribed a double dose of anti-biotics, twice daily bathing, and an appointment to go back next week to see how it is. Apparently cartilage takes a long time to heal too.

In other news, yesterday, this was the moment I realised I'd used the very big pan instead of the enormous pan for my chilli.

Contents duly transferred and added to.

After two funny eyes in two days I decided to give editing/self-publishing struggles a rest yesterday and went for a lovely walk with Daughter and dogs. Came home with two bags of washing as Daughter's machine has been out of action since before Christmas and the repair men keep making excuses. With just the two of us retirees now I forget how much washing two adults and three children can create.

In other other news I've been asked to join the board of trustees for Exousia, the trust that supports Sean and Zac's Place. Feel very honoured.

In other other other news I have a very itchy back and as my shoulder is a bit dodgy and I can't twist my arm very far, I think I may look for a back scratcher when I go to Mumbles shortly. I've tried rubbing it on a doorframe but that's not sufficiently satisfying.

Oh yes, and how unlucky do you have to be to be standing under a goalpost just as it falls down? GrandSon3 was doing just that and had a huge lump on his head as a result.

He still managed to win our game of Go Fish - as he always does not that we suspect any cheating on his part!

I am reminded when our grands were little, they visited friends at a cottage. They were either walking or biking in the woods when a tree fell on the other kid's head. It was a huge one that knocked him senseless, but it didn't tickle either.

I can't reach all of my back now as I used to, so once in a while I use a doorframe to scratch. Which reminds me so much of seeing cows using gates as scratching posts.

Sorry about husband's continuing woes. It sounds miserable, and I hope the extra rx work fast.

First, congrats on your appointment to the board of trustees, which was highly deserved as evidenced by the posts I have read about all your activities these. Hope your husband's ear isues will be resolved soon as it sounds uncomfortable (no pun intended, honest).
