Blood and cake

And here's the finished cake.

Pleased with that. You probably can't see but the roses are sprayed with glitter. Yes, I have discovered an edible glitter spray! But you should be impressed: I was very restrained with it and didn't spray everything in sight. After all, what doesn't look better in glitter?

Also been pleased with the Hello Fresh meals we've had this last week. I forgot to take a photo every time - and the images looked better than the way I dished up the meals - but all were tasty and a reasonable serving.

From left: pork meatballs, sticky chicken with noodles, harissa and double cheese pasta bake, creamy butter chicken, spinach and ricotta ravioli.

(I have just come back down from the bathroom where Husband wanted me to bathe his ear after taking off the dressing. I still feel slightly sick but it's difficult to bathe an area when you're not looking. I am the world's worst nurse.)

Hope the ear heals quickly. The cake looks great!

The abrupt change from cake to ear dressing is very Chaucerian! Remember the baker? I won't go into it here, you feel bad enough!

Happy healing of the ear.

The cake looks beautiful. I don't think I could be trusted with spray glitter.

You're good with cakes if not ears.

Thanks all. Boud, I'm not familiar with the baker's tale. Fairly limited in my Chaucerian repertoire.
