A shortage of time

When I was younger there would be clocks on the outside of buildings, and inside. Nowadays it's impossible to find a clock anywhere. (Except the bus/train stations.) I know I have a phone but that means rummaging around in my bag. It's not a big bag but things get lost in it. So bring back clocks on buildings!

Having spent a lot of time wrapping presents it's rather annoying having to spend an undesirable length of time unwrapping, checking, and rewrapping. I went to Mumbles this afternoon to get a replacement present and return the jumper I bought on Saturday and decided I didn't like. Plus a couple of other things. I wrote a list and put it in my back pocket so I wouldn't lose it.

Driving home I remembered the list I hadn't looked at. "That's okay," I said to myself. "I did everything on it," and then mentally went through the list. Take back jumper: done; buy alternative gift: done; get sink uncloggi . . . oh bum.

This is why I make lists. If only I remembered to look at them.

After returning the jumper I tried on a couple of alternatives but was feeling fat and grumpy, so decided against. Then noticed a sale in Seasalt and bought a dress there. Now I need some Malvolio-style tights to wear with it.

I shall leave you with that thought.

You always make me smile, Liz. I am famous with losing lists!

I need to see the dress that would go with the cross gartering!

This kind of reminds me of how my brain works some days.

You need a watch to pair with that phone. I have never liked wearing watches, but the ones that pair with phones are pretty light and useful in other ways too.

I've noticed that airports, of all places, seem to be stingy with clocks.
