A few posts back there is a video of Helena Bonham-Carter reading Small Kindnesses by Danusha Lameris. I thought about this poem in the theatre last night as people automatically twisted in their seats or pulled in their feet so we could go past.
In spite of all the horror in the world it is a good place and people, on the whole, are more good than bad. We all have our off days but I want to believe in niceness. Or am I naive?
On a lighter note here's a clip of an original production of The Addams Family.

Human nature encompasses both good and evil, the angelic and the demonic. We are all capable of each, given the determining circumstances.
Absolutely. It's a war that wages within us.
Not naive at all, it is where most of us want to be. Thank you for the video. I will enjoy this.
Psssh, I vote NOT naive. Thanks for the reminder
I agree. The majority of people want to be good.
I think more people are good than bad. We have a problem in the United States, however, with the good people not always voting so we can end up with a poor leader.
Love,
Janie
I believe in the goodness of people too. Avoiding the news but once a day helps.
Not naive at all. There is a lot of good in the world.
Thanks all for your comments. Glad I'm not alone.
