Snuffly knuffles

Chatting to my children on whatsapp I have used the word 'snuffly' a few times - I like to make sure everyone knows I'm suffering, you know? But on whatsapp, Facebook and here snuffly is marked out as not a word.

I'm offered sniffly, snuffle and snuffy but I've checked my Chambers dictionary and snuffly is most definitely a word.

Which reminds me of Knuffle Bunny by Mo Willems. A delightful book by the author of the Don't Let the Pigeon . . . series.

I'm currently reading Diary of an MP's Wife by Sasha Swire. Written between 2011 and 2019 and covering the years of the Cameron administration it's a bit too political for me. I thought it would be more fun. She worked as her husband's researcher and is very well up on politics, and is entertaining when she talks about behind the scenes and social happenings but lots of the names and talk of policies mean nothing to me.

Her husband was a Minister in the Conservative government and I thought I would hate her but, while we'd never be friends, she does show empathy and even wisdom. Just a shame others in her party don't.

Going to get back to Grey's Anatomy now.

I hate when spell check tells me something isn't a word when I know for a fact that it is.

I am a Canadian, and we write some British and some American, and too often, spellcheck doesn’t approve, and then I question myself.
