Mund's tupperware

I knocked on a door and to the man who answered I said, "I miss Jeremy Harding."

"I do too."

There aren't many people you could say something like that to out of the blue but I knew Dave Barham (father of my young doctor friends) was one of them. And he didn't disappoint. It made me very happy when he then quoted Jeremy Hardy.

For your information, Jeremy Hardy was a comedian who died too young a few years ago. He was quite political and very funny, as I'd been reminded listening to him on an old radio show in the car on my way to pick up young doctor friend.

I began the previous paragraph with the commonly-used text-speak - initials - but couldn't do it. Had to write the words out in full.

Back into Zac's for cooking this morning. Only had to make curry as we have stocks of chilli and bolognese. Washing up at the end and finding I didn't have a burned-on pan to wash made me panic, thinking I'd forgotten to do something. (I don't think I had.)

I have forgotten to take the towels out of the tumble dryer but at least I remembered to put them in. I wrote myself a note to take to Zac's last night to remind me.

The note was also to remind me about . . . Mund? What on earth was Mund and what did I need to do with it?

I couldn't worry for too long last night as I was making teas and coffees as well as fretting over the talk. One of the men came to the counter and said, "You got to do it all have you? Isn't anyone helping you?"
"No, it seems not."
"Oh dear," he laughed and went and sat down with his cup of tea.

Oh yes and I mentioned the bit about homosexuality and then we'd moved on and were talking about something else when one of the other men piped up, "Sodomy. Didn't they call it that?"
I must have look bemused because another study leader chipped in, "He's talking about homosexuality."
"Oh right, not anxiety. Okay, yes, they did I suppose."

Muriel. Her tupperware was at the bottom of the stairs if she turned up. That was what I had to remember. Not Mund.

Salvator mundi. Or Muriel, as the case may be. Sounds as if the evening went as well as expected -- pretty well.

Sometimes I have trouble interpreting my notes to myself. It takes me forever to figure out what I was thinking when I wrote it.
