It seems like every week is one of those weeks at the moment. Barely a moment to stop and regroup. It's my own fault; I do too much. But I enjoy it and an afternoon nap is quite acceptable at my age!
So yesterday being St. Valentine's I decided we should celebrate in Zac's by eating together. The previous week we talked about the love of God and began making a banner. At the weekend GrandDaughter1 and I added some grape vines and yesterday more words were added.
The theme for the evening was a verse from Song of Songs: He has taken me to the banquet hall and his banner over me is love.We had lasagne followed by trifle, and at about 7.50 I was a little worried as there were only six of us in Zac's and I'd catered for twenty-something. Fortunately a few more turned up and between us we managed to eat a lot of the food.
You'll notice they are mostly men. There was only one other woman there and she is a very timid little soul. I'd laid the tables and decorated them with flowers, chocolate eggs and stones. We even had some candles burning. If women other than my little mouse had attended I know they would have declared, "Oh how lovely it all looks." As it was the men came in, looked around vaguely and said, "Oh yeah, this is happening isn't it?"
Back to Zac's today for normal cooking and then home to finish off my article for The Bay. It was all a bit last minute as it's deadline day today. Normally I get it done much sooner but though I knew where I wanted it to lead me I didn't know where it should start. Finally got there though.
Fairly relaxed day tomorrow I think . . .

I'm coming to the realization that I probably have too many commitments, but I like them all and have no idea which one I would give up.
Your lasagna and trifle look delicious!
We will indeed, Boud!
It will probably become obvious to you, Kathy.
Thank you, Debra - they were. Second helpings all around!
Love that banner. The lasagna looks delicious. Glad you had more people show up to help eat all that food.
It looks like a lovely time together at Zac’s.
