I have friends who have summer and winter wardrobes (as in clothes rather than cupboards although they may have those too.) I've never had that: my clothes blur between seasons.
So before showering this morning I went to the airing cupboard to look for socks. Realising there were lots of clothes in there I decided to put them away.
Putting them away I found I was having to screw things up (almost) to get them in my over-flowing drawers.
So I began to sort out my drawers. And now, dear readers, I am delighted to tell you that I too have summer and winter wardrobes. Sort of.
I put my shorts and strappy t-shirts at the back of the shelf in the wardrobe and sorted out a whole load of clothes I don't wear any longer to go to the charity shop. I feel like a new woman, a proper grown-up lady.

Both grandsons' football games were called off this weekend because of a hard frost making the ground unsafe for little legs.
Oh yes, I remember, I knew I'd been inspired to write this post by something but by the time I began it I couldn't remember what it was. It's come to me now. Over on her blog, Sparkling Merlot has a cartoon about an advent calendar, which reminded me I haven't yet filled our reusable one with choccies.
That means that when I do get around to it I will have at least eleven chocolates to eat immediately. Obviously I mean we will have. I will share them with Husband.
And that was really worth waiting for, wasn't it?

Well done on the closet sorting etc. Mine needs a thinning and sorting too. Enjoy the chocolates!
I don't have a summer and winter wardrobe either, except of course shorts for summer and winter coats for, well, winter. Apart from those, I wear everything I have all year long.
I periodically sort my drawers and closet to try and separate the seasonal stuff, but it never seems to stay that organized for very long. So I hope you have better long term luck than me. Spotted you on a mutual friends blog, and thought I'd pop in for a visit. It's always fun to meet new bloggers.
I have one small closet for clothes and a couple of drawers of underwear, socks, night wear. I never sort them into seasons, just pull out what I need each day. Clearly I'm not a grown up person who organizes things importantly. Sigh. Bit late now.
I think Sandy has nailed it: how long will it stay organised? As I tend to stuff things in anywhere I suggest not long.
Congratulations on the clothing purge. I sometimes make attempts.
