It's a wonderful time of year for finding fungi, and one of today's has to take my title Fungus of the Day. But first some rather wonderfully alien-looking specimens.

Now I'm going out for lunch with Janet, an old friend and erstwhile boss, as it's her birthday tomorrow.
And I think we will try not to spoil our lunch by talking about the news that Boris Johnson, disgraced, resigned (pushed) Prime Minister, is talking about standing again.
I am speechless when I think of British politics today.

You certainly find the strangest looking fungi! It seems like British politics these days (and for the past few years actually) just goes from bad to worse to even worse.
