So I had this brilliant idea! And for once in my life a brilliant idea worked!
I used old baubles that weren't on the Christmas tree on a craft wreath from Hobbycraft. I had planned to get a foam one and cover it completely but, what do you know, they'd sold out. The week before Christmas. Who'd have thought it?It's a bit lopsided but I blame the wreath, and I'm quite pleased with it.
I have another even brillianter idea too but I've not actioned that yet. (Please excuse the use of the word 'actioned'. It makes me shudder just using it. I'll rephrase it.) I haven't put my idea to the test yet. I will, of course, keep you updated.
Meanwhile Husband has also been busy. He has trained Alexa so if you say 'Happy Christmas' to her she will switch on the Christmas lights.
Such is the life of two retired old people.

Your wreath looks FABULOUS! Sounds like you and your husband are both just chock full of brilliant ideas!
I think your ideas are a scream! Also very effective. I'm glad you don't have a talking bird to learn the Alexa command.
Oooooh I love it
Hah! I like that your husband has trained Alexa!!!!
We have not gotten our own “Alexa” yet. I am unsure what benefit she would provide us, so I haven’t really explored much. What things have you found her useful for?
PipeTobacco
