It was forty years ago today

Forty years ago today I was in a room with Husband, three midwives, two doctors and a couple of anaesthetists. Elder Son made his entrance into the world bum first so everyone was prepared for an emergency caesarean. Everyone except me. I didn't consider it. I didn't even think about it. (Today I believe it's automatic caesarean.)

Pleased to say he arrived safely.

Plans for a big celebration have been put on hold thanks to Covid, and in particular, omicron - which I didn't realise, until I looked it up, is the fifteenth letter of the Greek alphabet. So we joined them for a blustery walk along Port Eynon beach this morning.

Our plans to follow that with fish and chips were thwarted because all the chip shops had closed 'for the season'. Huh.

And here's the man himself.

My oldest son is just a couple of years behind yours. I don't know about you, but I certainly haven't aged that much.
