Is romance in its dying throes?

In that funny in-between mood as befits the day.

After calling Nuora to sing Happy Birthday I settled down to watch the end of Call the Midwife and part one of A Very British Scandal, the latter a bit slow but beginning to get intriguing - although it's hard not to confuse the rather naughty duchess with the Queen in an earlier manifestation of Claire Foy's.

And yesterday evening we watched the first part of Around the World in 80 Days starring David Tennant. I hope it gets better as not very impressed so far, at least not with Phileas Fogg.

In other news, Husband tells me making tea hurts his shoulder.

Christmas presents. A goodly haul including books, jigsaws and Maltesers. Once upon a time Husband gave me a diamond ring for Christmas hidden in a packet of Maltesers. Another time he gave me a Beetle. This year the focus was on hair-removing gadgets.

Who says romance is dead?
