Three is better than one

A good prayer time yesterday evening. There is something to be said for being quietly and silently reflective in a building built to praise God.

In the end there were six prayer stations, each intended to encourage a different sort of prayer - thanksgiving, supplication, blessing.

Most people participated: the one I thought wouldn't didn't. And I think my rainy trip to the beach was appreciated.

Each pebble in the basket represents an individual prayed for.

Write or draw your own prayer.

Leave your burden in the bag. The most popular table.

Thank Jesus. (Bread under the napkin. Grape juice in the plastic cups. Hand sanitiser on the table. Post-Covid days.)

A three-ply strand is stronger than one. God, me, and others together.

A side aisle.

At the end we took the bag of burdens and laid them at the foot of the cross on the altar. All very symbolic and un Zac's like, but moving.

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:20

God bless.

How good to take the bag of burdens and lay them at the feet of God. That looks like a peaceful and blessing time together.

Just happened to find this while looking up a prayer poem. Wonderful idea. The bird table cloth is so neat!
