'Granny, I think you've got nits!'
'What?!'
We were at Daughter's for a barbecue and GrandDaughter1 was standing behind me, playing with my hair. We'd just been talking about ticks on people so I was already feeling itchy. I quickly scratched my head and, sure enough, found a little black thing.
I looked at it and breathed a sigh of relief. 'It's okay, it's only a seed.'
I'd been doing some weeding earlier and I remembered the Granny's Bonnet shedding its seeds. I just hadn't realised how many had landed in my hair. When I got up this morning I found a load on the sheet too. Still, at least it's not nits.
Off to meet my old school friend for ice cream at Verdi's soon. Yum.

Scary close call!
I have heard they only like clean hair. Hope you enjoyed your ice cream.
ALL grannies have knits ;-)
It was, Debra!
That's true, Polly. We all had them when the children were in junior school.
Not this Granny, Stu! Keep knits away from me!
Hmmm - next time sprinkle your granny yard bonnet with a bit of glitter. Then granddaughter might think you've been brushed with magic!
