Family barbecue today and I was in the mood to make cake. I took a recipe book and it fell open to the page for Maple and Pecan cake.
It wasn't that it didn't rise much so much as it sank. But it wasn't actually burned although it looked it.
A good dollop of icing hides a multitude of sins.

Now you've done it. Your cake looks so good that I'm tempted to try something like that. Just what I need sitting around here, another sugary treat. (Maybe my memory will do me the favor of forgetting about it?)
In my opinion a cake can't have too much frosting. Yours looks wonderful.
