Is this just fantasy?

Come on, own up, what came into your head when you read the title of my post?

Seriously, no-one else immediately started singing Bohemian Rhapsody? Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality ...

In bible study last night Sean said, 'Were you going to say something, Liz?'

'No, why? Oh, were my lips moving?'

I had to explain that when he'd said, 'Is this just fantasy?' - in respect of something in the chapter - I'd got a little distracted.

No-one else would admit to having the same thought but I find that hard to believe, which is why I'm relying on you not to let me down.

Incidentally, have you watched the film? We enjoyed it a few weeks ago when we finally got round to watching it. Really think his parents should have done something about his teeth though. (Yes, I know he got his unique voice because of it but still.)

Left, the real Freddie Mercury, right, Rami Malek

Yes I started singing it :-) In those days I don't think his parents thought much about dental treatment. I quite liked his teeth, they added to his uniqueness.

Yes, filled in the next lines and assumed this was about the film.

Your line didn't trigger me because in my head the line is "Is this just a fantasy?"

Hah! Actually the song did not immediately come to mind until I read the entry. What DID come to mind when I read the title was a brief thought that you might have found a snippet of a slightly “racy” romance novel you might have at one time started and found as you were cleaning your hard drive! :)

Hah.... just because I am not sure if it has the same meaning on your side of the pond...... “racy” in the U.S. context I was using is akin to being a bit..... “steamy”. :)

The teeth made him Freddie.

I thought the same thing when I saw that sentence.

The other day I was waiting in an interminable bank lineup, and the muzak played the original "Bohemian Rhapsody." It was fun to listen to it again and it certainly killed more than a few minutes to do so!

I confess I didn't think of the song when I read the title. I saw the movie and enjoyed it. I loved Freddie's teeth. What a voice--so pure and powerful.

Love,
