In town yesterday morning to have my hair cut - oh, did you say you'd like to see a photo?
As I was saying, as I was in town I thought I'd pop into M&S and see if they had a Dine In Deal. They did: main course, side dish and pudding for two for £10. You used to get a bottle of wine as well but that can't have been profitable.
It was a big rugby day with the two matches we wanted to watch on late afternoon and evening so I figured there wouldn't be a lot of time for me to prepare and cook dinner. That was my excuse anyway for the steak pie, cheesy gratin potatoes, and sticky toffee pudding. In my defence I did buy a bag of ready-prepared veg to have with it.
Having simply stuck things in the oven/microwave before sitting down and enjoying a lovely meal, I couldn't help saying to Husband, 'There's a lot to be said for fast food.'
Yes, it's unhealthy because of all the fat and sugar and salt in it - I could have chosen healthier options but where's the point in that when you're treating yourself? - but it's so quick and easy to prepare and does taste nice.
Now and again.
Back to reality today and I'm making pizza.
And in case you're wondering, no, Wales didn't do the Grand Slam. If the game had finished one minute earlier they would have ... big sigh. Is there anything more frustrating than losing in the last minute? But probably the right result. On the plus side the Welsh team has improved enormously over the season raising our hopes for the future.

We were disappointed a couple of days ago when the last milli-second attempt at a 3-point basket failed to go in. My alma mater's basketball team lost 52-53. In addition, the score would have been 52-51 had the game ended 10 seconds earlier - before the foul that allowed the opposing team to sink two free throws.
Not being a jock nor one who enjoys being among the audience, I wasn't upset when I learned of the game's outcome.
I don't think there's anything wrong with an occasional easy, not-so-healthy meal.
After the initial frustration when I would have thrown something if I'd had anything to hand, CopCar, I was fine too.
Of course not, Kathy. We all need a break now and again.
Your hair looks great, Liz! Sorry to hear about Wales' last minute loss.
