Week 7 and I managed my fastest average mile/minute today. At 13:42 I'm not going to win any races but it is satisfying. Nevertheless next week, the final week of the research program, will be my last.
Just about every week I've contemplated giving up but I've stuck with it, but I can't tell you how pleased I shall be after next week's run.
A glutton for punishment I've just been for a walk with George and Husband. All morning he has been feeling light-headed (Husband that is not George though he might have well have been experiencing similar symptoms) and halfway through the walk I came over all weak and wobbly. I'm pretty sure I was just in need of a sugar boost, but we held hands and hoped if one of us went down we wouldn't take the other with us. There'd be no hope of us getting up with both of us on the floor laughing.

We managed the walk without incident I'm sure you'll be pleased to hear, and I've just had a glass of Fanta Zero orange. It's become one of my favourites, my occasional alternative to water. I was a bit disturbed to hear though about Fanta's dubious history.
Apparently during the second world war Coca Cola in Germany invented Fanta as an alternative to their traditional coke drink because of the embargoes on trade between America and Germany stopping the necessary syrups getting into the country.
Also apparently this became quite well-known in 2015 after an advertising gaffe but that passed me by.

In other news this month's The Bay magazine is out now. In my article I go a bit Monty Pythony.

"The Life of Brian" is one of my all-time favourite films! It may be goofy satire, but it makes some very profound points about unquestioning extremism, both in religion and politics. And I adore The Virgin Mandy!
Also, your kids were all so darn cute!
Gok Wan lost 11 stone in 8 months; ran more than you though.

You should still consider..... after you are finished with the running study..... you may want to keep independently doing the run..... you will continue to see additional progress, it is healthy for you...... and you will find a great deal of continued satisfaction in it. :)

I enjoyed your article immensely.
It's interesting to speculate on what Mary did and did not know during Jesus' life.
I'm pleased to hear you completed the walk without incident. I'm gradually increasing my walking distances with Rufus, hoping that it will help with losing a bit of weight.
