I occasionally look at my stats and usually the numbers visiting are fairly stable but this week they seem to have gone a bit crazy.
Yesterday apparently this blog had its highest ever (that I've noticed) number of views: 1,016 visitors, which is about five times my norm. No idea why but I have no doubt it will soon drop dramatically.
Weird though. I'd love to think I've been discovered for my sheer brilliance but they're probably all bots. Then again they are quite sweet.

The same thing happened on my blog about a year ago. You may have noticed that I do not deliberately court traffic to my blog - to the extent that my blog is, supposedly, immune to detection by search engines. Most of the clicks came from one or the other of two blogs that I had, in the past, visited.
After checking out everything that I knew/knew how to check, I contacted my blog provider. Like me, they could find no one who had linked to my blog. They found nothing harmful, but couldn't tell me what was going on. Eventually, the traffic trickled down to nearly normal. Occasionally, I still see that I've been visited by someone who was referred by one of those two blogs, but I pretty much ignore the whole thing.
I hope that your traffic is as benign. *sigh*
