Kelloggs cockerel

I'll be back properly soon but for now here's an interesting fact I discovered from Mark Rees on Twitter:

Never mind Coco Pops, do you know why Corn Flakes have a cockerel on them? It's all thanks to the Welsh language. When harpist Nansi Richards met Kellogg she told him his name sounded like the word Ceiliog (cockerel). He liked it - & coloured the bird to match the flag of #Wales!

Interesting tale, Liz. My paternal grandmother (gone for over four decades, now) had a penchant for Corn Flakes. Nearly everything else, she grew on her farm. I never cared for the flakes because they became soggy so quickly.

I do enjoy corn flakes, CopCar, though they must be Kelloggs - the best!
