Breaking the law

Whoops, a bit later back than I intended. What can I say? I had a busy day yesterday.

I had to go back to the chemist to get the prescription that wasn't ready the day before, we had a Sainsburys delivery, and I had Zac's on zoom. All that excitement in one day was too much for me. No wonder I woke up in the night with a headache.

You'll be pleased to hear I got the recording done without getting emotional. I think I'd used all my emotion while reading a book - more later.

So, yes, what else was I going to say? I've been doing a jigsaw.
Jigsaws are so addictive even though I'm currently at that stage when I study a piece for ages before declaring, 'This definitely doesn't go anywhere in this jigsaw.' (Which of course it does.)
Okay, so it's meant to be the daisy in the foreground that is IN focus and the background that is blurry, but I didn't have my glasses on when taking it so it looked okay to me. The field was just so pretty covered in daisies.

We took George for a walk on the beach this morning! Ssh, don't tell anyone (dogs not allowed from 1st May). There seemed to be a lot more people on the promenade and more traffic, as if people are already anticipating coming out of lockdown.

For some reason there was an Independent newspaper in our food delivery yesterday. I happened across an article by a comedian, Jenny Eclair, on how she has mixed feelings about coming out the other side. Her words really resonated with me. Apart from missing hugging my babies I am quite settled and safe in lockdown. I don't think it's fear of the consequences of coming out though rather the security and peace of being in. It really is remarkable how much quieter the world is.

A sunny day today so I will sit out and read for a while I think. See you later!

The village shop only had 3 children's jigsaws (<500 pieces)
so I've been doing them and still am on the second one.

Fair enough.

I was just thinking the same thing about our time in this bubble. There is a peace and security there.

I'm all caught up now with "This Time Next Year" -- I laughed SO hard at Page One Girl, Benito the Giraffe and Leonard Cohen, and Charlie and the Sock!

Marie, it's going to be strange that's for sure.

Thank you, Debra! My faithful listener! I was wondering if you'd reached Charlie yet. May I quote your words to promote it some more, please?
