Just managed to miss most of a Zoom meeting. On Tuesday I struggled to hear the first part of the Zac's bible study on Zoom.
I'd like to say it's all down to technical incompetence - an acceptable quirk at my age - but I just got the time wrong this morning.
On Tuesday I could hear people talking but not loudly. I adjusted the volume on the monitor, the knob on the speaker, and twiddled with everything I could find. Then I traced the source of the noise: I had my headphones plugged in to my computer but not on my head.
Now I think of it does even that count as technical incompetence? Or just stupidity?

Lol. It sounds so familiar to me Liz! I wonder why?
Haha! I have to tell you that I have had at least three bouts of frustration in a similar vein. Myself in the last couple of weeks.... I have been recording voice lectures for my U students for all of my classes done this Covid Quiet period started. My Internet is a bit sketchy at times so sometimes the system we have to use gets shut off in the middle of a recording and it is lost. I have had on three different occasions tried to view my lecture..... and then I start cussing under my breath because there is no audio and I am thinking it did not work.... only to realize I too had the headphone/microphone still plugged in as I was trying to listen to it on my computer’s speakers!!!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one!
That's how I always feel too when trying to master a new technology! I'm a walking Boomer stereotype.
Uhmm - technical confusion (that's how I explain doing similar things!)
