I forgot to say ...

Even when we were walking George long distances regularly I used to hate this hill (the one up to the bluebells). I always struggled and was panting and my legs burning before I was even halfway to the top.

So I was dreading it yesterday.

But, what do you know? All my exercising must be paying off as I managed it -almost - easily.

My almost daily lockdown routine now consists of:
3 minutes cardio;
1 minute abdominal crunches;
1 minute plank;
1 minute ski squat;
1 minute press-ups;
2 minutes variety of arm exercises with weights;
3 minutes hula hoop.

Except today when I didn't do 3 minutes of hula hoop but 500 twirls non-stop!

Feeling chuffed!

Chuffed!!!! That is a term that is not widely used in the US. I have seen it and heard it only a few times in my life, but it is such a wonderful, descriptive, colloquial word! Thank you for saying (writing) it today. It brightened my day with my fondness for words!!!!!

You are indeed getting fit! Well done!

P.S. I listened to Episode 9 today and I recognized the "downstairs loo with the dodgy lock" story from your blog! Oh dear, I know what's coming next, LOL!

Debra from "She Who Seeks" brought me here to see what was going on. I have to say that being a new reader to your blog has made me smile quite a bit. Thank you.

I could do the hula hoop that well. When I was twelve.

It's certainly come a long way since my day, Marie!

I'm glad you are chuffed, PipeTobacco.

I bet you could, Sonata. That's what I said before I did it.

That's the trouble, Debra, real life imitates art. or vice versa.

Thank you, Leanna.

I bet you still could, Joanne. Thank you for visiting.
