A delightful video of this accomplishment! Love the little girl with the daffodil hat.

Brilliant! Well done to everyone who turned up despite the pouring rain. The tea and cakes must have been very welcome.

Liz:

A very pleasant video! Thank you for sharing this day brightener!

I am going to show my unfortunate ignorance here.... was the lady speaking “Welsh” in the video and was that also the Welsh language in the blue subtitles? I presume so, but I was surprised at how different it sounded (and looked written) from what I thought was Welsh. To my very untrained ear it sounded more Norwegian.

I don't know why... but this brought tears to my eyes!
tears of joy and pride and community and simplicity and just human goodness!
and I'm not even Welsh! it was so lovely. xo

Glad you all enjoyed!

PipeTobacco, yes, it was Welsh. I'm not a Welsh-speaker and gave up learning it early on in school, a fact I regret now. But it is quite a difficult language to learn.
My half-Italian grandson is in a school that teaches through the medium of Welsh. I believe it's easier for young brains to pick up languages.
