I was dreading going to Slimming World last night. In the two weeks since I'd last been I've had a birthday, a trip to London, two cake/ice cream shop visits with friends, grand-daughter's birthday party, and a general disregard for diets. I even took off my watch before going.
Time must hang very heavy as I found I'd lost one pound!
I have a really good eating week i.e. sticking rigorously to my diet, and don't lose anything; I eat cake and lose weight.
I've noticed this before and, as I've said before, must be the way forward.
In other news, GrandDaughter3 has hand, foot and mouth disease. Poor little soul is covered in spots. I'm not going to see her mainly because I don't want to risk Husband getting it. Apparently it's quite common in children, unrelated to the animal version, and should clear up by itself in a few days.
I am using my now freed up time tomorrow afternoon to have my hair cut and coloured. The badger look may work for badgers but it doesn't for me.
I also received my first Christmas card and present at the end of last week. How is your Christmas prep going?!

Yikes! I had not heard of your grandchild's disease - so - looked on Mayo Clinic's website. They write that the child can be contagious for weeks and that non-symptomatic adults can transmit it, as well. Good luck with all that!
Congratulations on discovering the cake-and-ice-cream diet. May it remain effective for you.
Cop Car
CopCar, I don't think it's too bad for younger children but can be worse in adults. So we're keeping well away. If only cake and ice cream were the way forward.
Didn't your god tell you that Gluttony is a sin?
That's a reason to prefer Buddha ;-)
When the body is too deprived of food, it thinks that a time of privation is going on and so it goes into starvation mode, hanging on to every little ounce of fat it can. That's my theory, anyway.
I would say my Christmas shopping is about 80% done. I'm running a little behind this year.
But he also said, 'But I'll excuse it when it's your birthday,' Stu.
I am impressed with your Christmas prep, Debra! And I think that is actual fact about the body thinking it's time of food shortage and taking action.
I hope your granddaughter gets well soon. I have lost nearly half a stone over the last few weeks, I'm doing it myself rather than going to a club. Last week was bad though, one evening I was prowling the kitchen looking for anything to snack on!! I'm back on track this week. How is my Christmas prep going, well it's not, I counted my cards a few weeks ago to see how many more I need to buy, but haven't bought them yet!
Your diet in wonderful!
I am avoiding the Christmas prep. Reality will kick in soon however. Baking cookies with the grandkids will happen soon though.
I find it isn't what I eat but the amount. I was eating mostly junk over the long weekend, apparently just not very much. I am down to my lowest again.
