What's more British than a cup of tea?
If you recall, in an attempt to help the environment, I invested in an infuser. We've started using it and the results are good. Tasty tea.
Of course Husband grumbles. About the fiddliness, the having to wash out the infuser, the bits of tea leaves in the bottom of the cup.
I tell him to think of our grandchildren. He mutters and doesn't believe that I've checked that the bags we use contain plastic, but they do, albeit in tiny amounts.

I like tea made from loose leaves but usually use tea bags - the ones I use say on the box no plastic but they are not the cheap big branded ones.
That's good. Which ones are they?
I'm with husband. I wouldn't want all the faff of using a tea infuser, teabags are much simpler.
Doing your bit for the environment!
I wonder how much plastic we’ve consumed in a lifetime. And we wonder why the cancer rates are so high!
Really, Nick!
A very little bit, Debra.
Scary thoughts, Marie.

I tend to find a bit of tea leaf (or coffee grounds) in my cup kind of a special, little added bonus! I may be in a very small minority in this regard, but it feels pleasant texturally to me. :)
