Debra was thinking about cats in sacred paintings. I don't remember seeing any but there is this rather delightful image of a scullery maid with cat sleeping in front of fire.

No cats here either but 138 different species of plants meticulously reproduced by Botticelli in his painting of Spring.

How hard would it have been to sneak a cat into that Botticelli painting, now I ask you.
Indeed. Could have been peeking out from under her skirt!
The two paintings are beautiful, even though no cats.
