The kindness of children

I fear Husband will have some complaints when he returns home to my cooking after his sojourn in hospital.

I am a good cook and my food will almost always be better than institutional food but hospitals beat me for planning. They will have three courses on your tray at the right time every time while I struggle to get one course on the table within half an hour of the specified time. Which is why I prefer not to specify a time. 'Dinner's ready when it's ready.'

That reminds me: I must go shopping soon. I have been relying on leftovers and the generosity of children for my meals.

I'm sure he'll be glad to get home no matter when the meals are served!

He'd better be, Debra!

he wouldn't really like having food plunked down in front of him to a strict timetable. the novelty would wear off after a couple of days.

I suppose so, Sonata. Then again I never thought he'd watch daytime television!
