The importance of a good foundation

I'm giving a talk about writing and my books this evening so I spent a large part of yesterday carefully preparing, editing the talk, choosing excerpts to read, with the result that I ended the day feeling ready.

This morning in the shower I decided I was focusing on the wrong things/books so I'm starting again now.

I've given the basic talk several times now so that's not a problem; it's fitting it to the audience that's important. And working out which book to promote to make me the most money, hee hee hee. She rubs her hands together gleefully. (In the full knowledge she'll probably make £2 at most.)

At least I have washed my bra and hung it on the line so it'll be dry and I'll look good tonight whatever happens.
