And the winner is ...

GrandDaughter1 and I entered the Great Pennard School Bake Off today. The cake, which had to include chocolate in some form, was judged on appearance and taste by a panel of year 6 pupils. And we won!
Chocolate sponge with white chocolate cream cheese icing, raspberries, chocolate twirls, and raspberry and cream chocolate lace hearts. Decorated with a rose, mint leaves and rose petals.

Very thrilled!

Meanwhile the blog tour for The Dog-walking Club continues amidst lovely reviews. I am very thrilled again!

Wonderful about the baking competition! It does indeed look like it was delicious!

What is a Blog Book Tour? It is like a live chat on the Internet about your book? A video-stream? Or something else?

Thanks all.

A blog tour, PT, is, in this case seven, days of throwing your book at the world. I paid a blog tour organiser. They find three blogs a day to host guest posts, question and answer sessions, or reviews of your book. The organiser creates the advertising banner and does all the planning. It tends to happen when an author publishes his/her new book to raise awareness of it and create a market. I published my book last October but didn't know about blog tours then.
They can be longer or shorter than seven days, depending on your budget. I'm still learning about marketing and promoting. Harder work than writing a book!

Congratulations! The cake looks delicious. I'm happy there are people like you and your granddaughter who are willing to put in the effort to produce such treats.
