The really BIG day arrives

I'm delighted to say that Lucia Elisabeth made her appearance into the world on Friday. Weighing in at 3.8 kg (about 8.4 lbs for us oldies), she is, of course, delicious.

Granny to the power of seven is Very Happy.

Lucia, having waited an extra week before arriving, is keen not to miss anything now and is keeping Mama and Dada awake a lot. Big Brother, Leonardo, (GrandSon4) is suitably uninterested.

Congratulations - and I approve of the name as one of my daughters has similar. She was a bigger baby than my grandchildren who have all weighed about the same at 6lbs 13oz! My latest is now 3 weeks old and as yet unamed so instead of baby X he is getting Xanadu - naming should be imminent - hopefully. Hope all is well apart from the sleep deprivation - my daughter has had a few ups and downs but getting better.

congratulations!
do you know the classic old movie with Gene Tierney and Rex Harrison?
The Ghost and Mrs Muir. I've always loved it.
and I think that's the first time I heard the name other than St Lucia (the saint that the Swedes love) and it's wonderful! not Lucy. they pronounced it the Italian way. Lu chee'uh.
but LUCIA!!! is that how yours will be? either way... so beautiful!
