In spite of all my 'This piece definitely doesn't belong in this jigsaw' protestations they all did.
Remember Ladybird Books? I particularly remember the word ones, ones with pictures of ducks and balls and things like that. Illustrations that were both very true to life and also strangely unreal.
And with my children I remember especially The Magic Porridge Pot. I must have read that hundreds of times as they loved it for some reason.
