The poster of the 'woman's mind (magnified)' in the previous post is on display at a suffrage exhibition in Swansea Museum at the moment. I was there with Nuora and GrandSon4 to participate in a workshop based around the museum's display of Swansea and other Welsh pottery.
Cambrian Pottery, based in Swansea, opened in 1764 and closed in 1870. During that time the renowned Swansea porcelain was made there.
We put blobs of paint on a circle of card which we then spun in a salad spinner. From there we used lino prints to further decorate our plates.
I think GrandSon4's plate with the chameleon border is the best of our attempts.
And an example of the original pottery.

That's great use of a salad spinner!
Grandson's plate is brilliant.
It is, isn't it, Debra? I'm tempted to go out and buy one!
I think so, Polly. Thank you.
