I realised why I was feeling so old: my hair was in need of cutting and colouring. I suppose one day I'll have to go grey but not while I still have breath. It makes such a difference to how I feel.
Also bought myself a bright pink body-warmer or gilet. How do you say 'gilet'? I know how I say it but I think I might be wrong.

ʒiˈleː is the correct pronunciation, it's a Swiss men's waistcoat.
Sort of gshe'le? French style?
A Brit approximation is "She lay".
That's the way i say it!
A few years ago I shaved my head all over with a grade 5 (whatever the longest setting is on electric hair clippers) and dyed it Absolute Platinum A001 and everyone thought I'd had a professional job done, it looked fantastic. But at the moment it's the same hue as a pile of conkers under a light frost (sort of).
I do think you look young, Liz.
Oh! By the way! Your book came today! I've had a good look through (haven't read it properly yet) but from what I saw I have to say I'm impressed. So what's happening about the follow-up you were talking about (back in the day)? Come on Liz! Have you not seen your Amazon reviews? They were really flattering ~ 7 out of 8 gave 5 stars; the other one gave 4. From people in America and everything. Are you going to write another one...?? Go on!! ☺

PS the paper smells lovely. That's always a plus with me. Nice yummy paper. Mmmmm...
I ditto Gledwood! about your book. (well. and even her hair. I've always wanted a buzz cut.
I recommend it to EVERYONE who wants to brighten their life! the BOOK I mean.
I look at it as a prescription now. I need to take it at least once a year or as things are going politically in our country perhaps even every six months! that gives my short term memory loss time to kick in and I can enjoy it fresh all over again. :D
I'm waiting for a sequel!
Oh Gledwood, that's so sweet. I hope you enjoy it.
And thank you, tammy! So encouraging.
I am not sure how to write it but . Do not pronounce the T.. Chelay .
Yep, that's my way too, Anne.
