By a grumpy little jobsworth.
GrandSon4 and I were having a picnic lunch on the green next to the crazy golf. Now GS4 loves to play on the obstacles on the crazy golf course and does so happily throughout winter. Now it's summer and people pay to play on there but I let him go and climb on the train and the boat because we weren't doing any harm or getting in the way. Next thing this nasty man came and told me off. He claimed it was for safety reasons - hard balls - but his attitude made it clear he just didn't like us being there and having fun.
I could just about see his reasoning but the way he spoke to us was unacceptable. Cross granny.
We moved across the road so GS4 could play in the playground, which was very full. Then he was told off by a bossy little girl who said, 'This is our castle. You can't play here.'
I soon told her whose castle it was. Nicely of course.
Mutter, mutter.
