So before Christmas we had Christmas

On Sunday we had a roast rib of beef for our pre-Christmas Christmas dinner with Younger Son and Nuora before they left for Italy. From there they'll be going straight back to the Perhentian Islands so the next time we'll see them is when we visit, probably in September. And Husband wore his Christmas t-shirt (to avoid having to wear it on Christmas day).

I have to say that dinner was perfectly cooked - unlike my Christmas day disaster with the sprouts. I put them in to steam with the pudding but they were not only hard but also bitter and vile. Even Husband - who is the only person who actually likes sprouts - said so.

You know, I saw these pictures before and didn't even notice the t-shirt. I was busy trying to figure out what was on his head.

(I avoid sprouts. We never had them when I was young and mother-in-law cooked them to mush so I don't have a good experience of them.)

I can only eat sprouts if they're mushy, Katney!

They did look a bit tired when Husband was preparing them, Anne.

Love that T shirt. Have to say I love sprouts, all of us except for some reason the grandchildren. Odd bods!

What's happened with that sonic screwdriver? I never knew they existed. Please give us an update.

Oh nooooo NOT mushy sprouts. !!!! Unheard of .. I have never heard of anyone steaming with the pudding though Liz :-) We steam ours , in a steamer above the carrots , no water either, they were yummy.

We'll all happily eat sprouts , except for Smitonius who's never got over a childhood conviction that there might be an insect inside each one .
That's a very fine t-shirt , by the way !

Possibly not, Katney.

I'm still waiting for Husband to set up all the controls for me, Winifred. Then I shall take over the world - or at least control the television, digibox, dvd etc.

I steamed them in a steamer above the pudding, Anne!

A wise child that Smitonius!
