Cleavage and failure to connect

Undressing and getting ready for bed the other night I took off my bra and Husband burst out laughing. Which isn't really the reaction a girl hopes to produce.

It turned out that the tissues I'd stuffed in my cleavage earlier had stayed in place even when I'd removed my bra. (I know: too much information)

On Monday mornings I get into work and get down on my knees - and try and work out why the modem isn't working.

This morning I had jiggled and twisted, pulled out and pushed in, switched off and switched on everything I possibly could jiggle, pull or switch and I still wasn't getting a connection.

There was only one thing for it: I'd have to phone one of the techy-men. Which is when I discovered we didn't have a phone connection either.

I used Husband's mobile, which happened to be in the car, to call him and ask him to report the fault to BT. It wasn't until I was back in the office - we don't get a signal inside - that I remembered we're not with BT. When I tried to call him again I discovered he was out of credit. That's when I adopted Garfield's 'I hate Mondays' pose and went back to bed (metaphorically speaking).

(Allegedly the weather was responsible.)

How is the flooding affecting

a) power distribution

b) phone coverage

c) water distribution

d) sewage collection

e) transport ?

Reason for my asking is that I have to visit UK soon (Bristol and Cheltenham)

As far as I know it's not (apart from the connection in a small area of Swansea). We travelled to Devon with no problems. Elder Son lives in Surrey and there were flood alerts this morning but he said they're unaffected.

Oh dear, what can I say...about the tissue issue (snigger).

As for BT connection or lack thereof, I fear the whole situation may be due to synapses misfiring??

Ha ha ! I have one of those sports bras that can easily be put on without struggling re arthritic hands, middle daughter got it for me...however they have little triangular pads in the place where the cups should... just to bolster the bosom shape, they do flatten ones boobs but really are very comfortable... I digress, I was trying some jumpers on in a cubicle in Marks, when a 12 year old assistant, (seemed like), picked up my 'falsies' are these yours ?
Certainly not I retorted...also these jumpers don't fit..far too small', and retreated without said falsies..

The weather was responsible for your tissues staying in place... I'm sure I'm not understanding this...

btw - you can those wonder bras which are designed for that kind of thing ... can't you... being a man I have little knowledge of woman's undergarments
