Blowing in the wind

We had a gorgeous walk around the cliffs today. Yes, it was windy - flipping windy at the very top - but it was onshore so the only danger came from being blown sideways into a gorse bush. Ouch!

The tide was out so there was no danger from breaking waves either, which also meant it wasn't quite as spectacular as it probably has been in recent days. But George and I enjoyed ourselves.

And I was very sensible: when we came to the bit of the path that was closed because of danger of the cliff being washed away I took the diversion rather than squeeze past the tape blocking it.

(That strange doughnut-like phenomenon in the sky in the last photo is the result of a rain drop on the lens.)

Looks like a puffball of cloud! We have been hearing about all the terrible weather over there and back east. But here it's quite alright. Actually went out yesterday and got quite a few good shots of Tegan swimming in the ocean.

It all looks quite dramatic, Liz. I love that about the ocean...it's many and varied moods. Glad you enjoyed blowing the cobwebs away.

In the bay it's been reasonably calm, leslie, but Gower has taken a bit of a battering.

there's nothing like sea air for that, robyn.

Looks beautiful - much better than some of the recent images I've been seeing of the Welsh coastline. Was somewhat glad Son-of-Furtheron and his girlfriend are in the West Midlands now not still in Aberystwyth sleeping in a school hall!

It was, furtheron. And we didn't have the worst of the weather although a couple of beach cafes were badly damaged.

I just can't get over what beautiful scenery you have near you, Liz--the shot of the sun over the sea is gorgeous! And, of course, George is as handsome as ever.

I love it here, Rose - and George of course!

Tends to be windy top of cliffs, Liz.

But onshore, James, so not dangerous, just fun.
